What makes you feel better?

By  Lysette Offley

What makes you feel better? Do you know what makes you feel better?

Everyone needs a way to make themselves feel better; to regulate their mood and emotions. And thank goodness for that! What sort of a mess would be will be in otherwise?

However, some strategies are healthier than others. For example, food, alcohol, shopping, gambling etc, etc may well act as a distraction from your trials and tribulations, but if you’re not careful, may become an even bigger problem than the one you’re supposed to be solving.

Like a round peg in a square hole (or is it a square peg in a round hole?) the solution of choice may not be the best fit.

So it pays to be more aware of your real needs. And the smart money is on recognising your feelings and what they are trying to tell you.

That way you have a fighting chance of taking good care of yourself.

How do you make yourself feel better?

You might be surprised what some folks get up to in the name of emotional and spiritual health!

Fans of the Netflix series, Suits (you know, the one that Meghan Markle starred in, I mean, the Dutchess of Sussex) will be aware of Louis Litt’s mud baths…

But according to the BBC website, an increasing number of peeps are taking slopping about in mud to whole new heights (or should that be lows?)

Yes folks, the name of the game is…

Wait for it…

Cow cuddling!

I kid you not!

If you must, you can read about it here.

But if you’ve been having the feeling that your go-to solution isn’t much of a solution after all and that you would like help to find a better one, give me a shout.

You know where I am.
