If you’ve ever jumped on the scales every day and been disappointed that your weight inexplicably has shot up a few pounds – stop weighing yourself!!
Scales are notoriously pants at monitoring how much fat you’re losing. It’s far more likely that they’re telling you how much water you’re carrying.
Water Water Everywhere! Yes! 60% of your body weight is water! And your fat cells can hold up to 25% of their weight in water. No wonder the scales can jump up and down seemingly randomly each day. They can be very misleading.
Meanwhile when you feel bloated you should drink more water!
Your body needs to be nicely hydrated to transport nutrients in and out of cells. You need it for your body to operate efficiently and effectively.
Start your day with a litre of water and your body will thank you for it. You’ll have fewer cravings and more energy, not to mention softer, more supple skin.
Better than using the scales to try to figure out if you’re losing weight, take a photo of yourself in front of the mirror, every two weeks. Or notice which of your clothes are fitting better, or are even becoming loose.
